Your smile in the context of your full face.

Planmeca · Finland

The integrated 3D face scanner in the Planmeca Viso G7 captures your complete facial topography at micron precision in the same imaging session. No separate device, no external software. The result: smile design, implant planning, and jaw-surgery simulation that account for your actual facial features — not isolated teeth.

Why does 3D facial scanning matter?

Beautiful teeth alone don't make a beautiful smile. A successful smile depends on its proportion to the eyes, lips, chin, and overall facial form. Smile design without facial scanning = design in a vacuum.

With the Viso G7, we capture:

How it's used in treatment planning

Why integration matters

Many clinics need three separate devices + three separate sessions + three software programs to accomplish what the Viso G7 does in a single session:

The Viso G7 combines all this in one unit and one file, at higher accuracy and without losing precision during inter-device transfers.

Common questions

About this device

Does the face scan require a separate session?

No. It's done in the same CBCT session in normal standing position, taking 30 extra seconds. No separate device or appointment needed.

Is the scan safe? Does it use radiation?

The face scan itself uses only visible light — no additional radiation. The only radiation is from CBCT, and even that uses the low ULD protocol on the Viso G7.

What's the difference between this and "smile design" at other clinics?

Many clinics use digital design software, but it's built on 2D images (just phone camera photos). We use a precise 3D facial model that lets you simulate rotating your head from all angles before making the treatment decision.

Can I see a simulation of my face after treatment before starting?

Yes. This is the heart of digital smile design at AQUA. You see your face in 3D with the new teeth from every angle, and give your input before any actual dental procedure.
