Single tooth or full arch — same precision.

We place every implant from a 3D digital plan before the first incision — no guesswork, no surprises. Our prosthodontics lead (Dr. Mohanad Atwa, FRCD(C), University of Florida) works hand-in-hand with our periodontics lead (Dr. Mohamed Assaggaf, KAU) on every case.

Direct answer

A dental implant replaces a missing tooth root with a titanium fixture anchored in the jawbone, then restored with a crown, bridge, or fixed denture. At AQUA Dent Clinics in Jeddah, every implant is planned digitally with 3D CBCT imaging and 3D-printed surgical guides, performed by board-certified specialists.

Visits 4-6 visits over 3-6 months for a single implant
Duration 3-6 months for a single implant (including healing); All-on-4 completes in 3-5 months
Price range 9,300 – 9,800 SAR
What changes price Single implant + crown (Straumann/Nobel) SAR 9,300-9,800. Bone graft when needed adds SAR 3,300-7,500. Gum graft (Alloderm) when needed SAR 3,000-4,800. All-on-4 / All-on-X is priced at consultation.

Treatments

What we offer.

Every implant at AQUA starts with a CBCT scan (3D imaging) and a digital surgical plan — before we lift a single instrument.

01

Single Tooth Implant

Replace one missing tooth with a titanium implant and a custom-made crown. The adjacent teeth stay untouched — a permanent solution that outperforms a traditional bridge.

Stages3 visits over 3–6 mo
Lifetime25+ years with care
02

Implant-Supported Bridge

Replace 3–4 adjacent teeth with just two implants supporting the bridge — lower cost and fewer surgeries than placing one implant per tooth.

Implants2–3
Teeth restored3–5
03

All-on-4 / All-on-6

A fixed full arch supported by just 4 or 6 implants — a permanent solution for patients who have lost most of their teeth or struggle with uncomfortable removable dentures. In most cases, you walk out with fixed teeth the same day.

Implants4–6 per arch
Teeth fixedSame day
04

Immediate Implant Placement

Place the implant immediately after the tooth is extracted — fewer surgeries, and the surrounding bone and gum are preserved. Suitable for select cases identified during the assessment.

Healing3–6 months
05

Bone Grafting

Prepare the implant site when there isn't enough bone — from small, localised grafts to larger reconstructions. We use biocompatible materials with proven long-term outcomes.

06

Sinus Lift

A precise procedure to add bone beneath the sinus floor — making it possible to place implants in the upper back jaw where bone is typically too thin.

Denture to Implant Conversion

For patients tired of removable dentures — convert to an Overdenture (supported by two implants) or to a fully fixed arch.

Who this is for

Are implants right for you?

Implants aren't for everyone — but with the right assessment, they're possible for most patients. The diagnosis tells us whether you're a candidate today or need a preparation phase first.

You're a candidate if…

  • You've lost one or more teeth, or you wear a removable denture that doesn't feel right.
  • Your gums are healthy (or can be treated before placement).
  • You have enough bone — or you're open to a bone graft.
  • You're not a heavy smoker — smoking measurably lowers success rates.
  • You're ready for the full timeline — 3 to 6 months from placement to final crown.
  • You don't have a medical condition that rules out surgery (uncontrolled diabetes, bisphosphonate therapy).
Your journey

From consultation to your new smile.

Five stages — three to nine months, depending on the case.

01

Consultation & CBCT

3D imaging maps your bone volume, nerve pathways, and sinus position — the foundation of a precise plan.

02

Preparation

Gum treatment or bone grafting if needed — typically 2 to 6 months before placement.

03

Implant Surgery

Placement with a 3D-printed surgical guide — micron-level accuracy, around 45 minutes, under local anaesthesia.

04

Osseointegration

Three to six months as the implant fuses with the bone — with a temporary crown if the site is visible.

05

Final Crown

Digital impression → CAD/CAM crown fabrication → fitted in a single visit.

Compare options

Implant, bridge, or removable denture?

An implant is the closest thing to a natural tooth — but it isn't the right answer for every case. Here's how it compares to the alternatives.

Traditional option

Fixed Bridge

Total duration
2–4 weeks
Lifespan
10–15 years on average
Impact on neighbouring teeth
Adjacent teeth are filed down to serve as anchors
Feel & chewing
Close to natural, with some adjustment
Daily care
Special cleaning required underneath the bridge
Lowest cost

Removable Denture

Total duration
4–8 weeks
Lifespan
5–8 years before replacement
Impact on neighbouring teeth
Gradually presses on gums and bone
Feel & chewing
About 25% of natural chewing efficiency
Daily care
Removed and cleaned outside the mouth daily

Dr. Mohanad Atwa — our consultant prosthodontist and implant lead — recommends the right solution based on your exam and CBCT scan, and walks you through every option before you decide.

Recovery

What happens after surgery — day by day.

Most anxiety around implants comes from the unknown. Here's the realistic timeline for most patients.

Day 1

Mild swelling

Cold compresses, a mild pain reliever, a soft diet. Most patients are back to work the next day.

Days 3–7

Swelling subsides

Sutures removed if needed. A gradual return to normal eating — just avoid hard foods on the implant side.

Weeks 2–4

Gum healing

The gum fully seals around the implant. A short follow-up visit confirms the site is healing well.

3–6 months

Bone integration

The implant gradually fuses with the bone (osseointegration). A temporary crown is placed if the implant sits in a visible area.

After integration

Final crown

Digital impression → CAD/CAM crown → final fitting in a single visit. You can use it right away.

Coverage & financing

How you can pay.

Medical insurance

We don't bill insurance directly. You pay for treatment at the visit, and we prepare all the itemised invoices and medical reports you need to submit a reimbursement claim to your insurance provider yourself. Most Saudi insurance policies reimburse a meaningful portion of implant treatment — particularly components like the exam, imaging, extractions, and grafting — depending on your plan.

Instalments

Flexible 3, 6, or 12-month instalment plans through Tabby and Tamara — instant approval, zero interest. Pay your treatment off month by month instead of the full amount upfront.

Written treatment plan

Before anything starts, you receive a written treatment plan with full pricing for every stage. No surprises along the way. Take it home and review it before you decide.

Implant glossary

Terms to understand before deciding on implants.

The implant fixture
A medical-grade titanium screw (the part that integrates with bone) placed into the jawbone to replace a missing tooth root. Integration takes 3–6 months.
The abutment
The connector piece that links the implant fixture to the crown (visible portion). Placed after osseointegration is complete; can be fixed or screw-retained.
Osseointegration
The biological process by which titanium fuses permanently with bone cells. Discovered by Brånemark in 1952 — the foundation of modern implant success.
All-on-4 / All-on-X
A technique replacing a full arch with only 4 to 6 implants supporting a fixed bridge. Allows a same-day temporary prosthesis and avoids bone grafts in most cases.
Bone graft
Adding bone at an implant site when native bone is insufficient. Sources: autograft, allograft, or synthetic. 4–6 months of healing before implant placement.
Sinus lift
A surgical procedure to add bone in the upper-back molar area where the maxillary sinus is too close. Enables safe implant placement when vertical bone is short.
Surgical guide
A 3D-printed plastic guide designed from the patient's CBCT scan. Ensures the implant lands in the planned position and angle with sub-millimeter accuracy.
Peri-implantitis
Inflammation of the tissues around an implant, similar to gum disease. Occurs in 5–10% of cases long-term. Prevention: professional cleaning every 6 months and strict home care.
Implant materials

Titanium or zirconia?

In 95% of cases the answer is titanium. But each material has specific indications. Here's the objective comparison:

Titanium

  • ✓ 70+ years of clinical history
  • ✓ 95–98% long-term success rate
  • ✓ Slight flexibility absorbs occlusal force
  • ✓ Screw-retained abutments available
  • ✗ Possible grey line if gum recession occurs

Zirconia

  • ✓ Natural white shade — no grey show-through
  • ✓ Option for patients preferring metal-free
  • ✗ 15+ years of clinical history only
  • ✗ Slightly more rigid — needs precise planning
  • ✗ 30–50% higher cost
Safety & quality

Known risks and how we prevent them.

Implant placement is surgery. Any dentist who tells you it's risk-free is lying. Here's what can go wrong, and how we minimize the probability:

Failed osseointegration (1–3%)

The implant fails to fuse with bone. Causes: smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, soft bone. Prevention: pre-op HbA1c check, smoking cessation 2 weeks before/after, CBCT bone-density assessment.

Lower alveolar nerve injury

Permanent numbness in the lower lip or chin. Prevention: pre-op CBCT for every lower-jaw implant, digital planning that maintains a 2 mm safety margin from the nerve, and a 3D-printed surgical guide that locks placement depth.

Peri-implantitis (5–10% long-term)

Inflammation around the implant can lead to loss. Prevention: professional cleanings every 4–6 months, strict home hygiene (interdental brush, Waterpik), and bi-annual check with Dr. Assaggaf to catch any early sign.

Abutment or crown fracture

Happens in patients who grind (bruxism). Prevention: pre-cementation occlusion check, custom-fitted night guard, and crown-height adjustment to distribute force.

Common questions

What patients ask us.

How much does a dental implant cost?

Pricing depends on the number of implants, implant type, crown type, and whether grafting is needed. The first consultation includes a written plan with full pricing before we begin — and we offer comfortable installment plans.

Is the surgery painful?

The surgery itself is painless thanks to local anesthesia. Afterward there may be mild swelling and possible discomfort for a day or two, managed with light pain relievers. Most patients return to work the next day.

How long does an implant last?

A well-maintained implant lasts 20–30 years or more. The crown on top may need replacement after 10–15 years depending on use. Long-term success rates for modern implants exceed 95%.

Can I replace a removable denture with a fixed jaw?

Yes — this is what we call All-on-4 or All-on-6 depending on the number of implants. You get a fixed, non-removable jaw that functions like natural teeth. The first consultation determines whether you're a candidate.

What if I don't have enough bone?

Bone grafting adds bone at the site before implant placement. The All-on-4 technique also allows implant placement with less bone via specially angled implants. A CBCT scan determines the right option.

Implant technology at AQUA

Every implant case starts with a Planmeca Viso G7 3D scan at 75 μm resolution — revealing bone height and nerve pathway before any procedure. For anterior implants, the 3D face scanner is added to align the implant with the facial midline rather than just the adjacent tooth. Surgical guides 3D-printed on the Planmeca Creo place the implant precisely without open-flap surgery.
