Dr. Jamil Aref is a Jeddah-based cosmetic dentist and co-founder of AQUA Dent Clinics. He earned his BDS from King Abdulaziz University, then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo), followed by a cosmetic dentistry residency at the UCLA School of Dentistry in Los Angeles.
As a founding partner of AQUA since 2021 alongside his brother Dr. Jehad Aref, Dr. Mohamed Bamashmous, and Dr. Laila Bamashmous, Dr. Jamil leads the cosmetic dentistry track — where conservative, tooth-preserving protocols come first and every treatment begins with a digital preview the patient approves before work starts.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Jamil is an active voice in regional cosmetic dentistry education — speaking in the Cosmetic Dentistry session at the Saudi International Dental Conference (SIDC) 2024 with his lecture "How to Make Your Unique Journey," and at IDEX Egypt. He maintains a strong Arabic-language patient-education presence on Instagram, TikTok, and X at @drjamilaref.
